It looks like people never got enough of The Greatest Showman soundtrack in 2018, after the album sold the most copies in 2018 than any other albums.

Released by Atlantic Records on December 8, 2017, “Greatest Showman Soundtrack” racked up 1.3 million in album sales, becoming the only album that sold more than a million during the year, BuzzAngle Music reports.

The Greatest Showman: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is the soundtrack for the film of the same name, which similarly had an impressive run at the boxoffice. Inspired by the story of american showman P. T. Barnum, the film grossed over $434 million worldwide.

In fact, the album sold more than double the the no.2 seller of the year, “A Star Is Born” Soundtrack which sold 525,000 units. This means the top two sellers of 2018 are both soundtracks. Justin Timberlake’s “Man of the Woods,” was third with 377,000.

The data accumulate sales of the album tracks as well as sales of pure album units. When taking streaming into account, the list slightly reshuffles.

On the overall listener album consumption which includes streaming, “The Greatest Showman” ranks at a still impressive no.4, right behind Drake (Scorpion), Post Malone (Beerbongs & Bentleys) and XXXTentacion (Question Mark).
