Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

“As a fan of the Venom comics – it was an intriguing challenge for me to write music for two incredibly explosive characters cohabiting one body,” says Ludwig about the project. “The challenge was in creating two separate identities at the beginning of the story that could later be interwoven and coalesced. For the Venom score I drew on my roots as a metal guitar player. I set out to redefine metal by contemporizing it with current production techniques and infusing it with the super power of the orchestra.”

In the comics, Venom’s character is a sentient alien symbiote which needs a human host to survive, eventually giving the host enhanced powers. Eddie Brock is the journalist who comes in contact and bonded with the alien and become Venom, who is both vengeful and a hero to those he deems innocent.

The film features Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock / Venom. alongside Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, and Reid Scott.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Gangster Squad), “Venom” is a spin-off from the Spider-Man movie franchise. “Venom” is set for wide theatrical release on October 5.

Originally a partnership between Dinah Lance and Barbara Gordon, the team has since expanded to include other DC superheroines.

Todd Phillips Shares Video of Joaquin Phoenix As The Joker

By Creative Media Times

We know that director Todd Phillip has begun production of the currently untitled Warner Bros. Joker film with Joaquin Phoenix set to star. So we can look forward to plenty of updates from the highly guarded production, and potentially even leaks to float around the internet.

It only makes sense that the director himself reveals a first look of what we can expect from the film, and today he posts an eerie camera test video of the actor on instagram.

The haunting video shows Phoenix looking straight at the camera and wearing plain clothes. Though he looks expressionless, we do get a sense that he is somewhat deranged, a testament to Phoenix’s ability to convey characters merely from a look.

Set to The Guess Who’s “Laughing,” we see various images projected on Phoenix’s face, too quick to recognize at first until it ends with the actor in full character makeup and giving a sinister smile.

The upcoming Joker film is set for release on October 2019. Also in the film are Zazie Beetz, Robert De Niro, and Marc Maron. Todd Phillips co-produce the film with Bradley Cooper and Emma Tillinger Koskoff.

Warner Bros. has a slate of upcoming films based on the DC Comics including James Wan-directed Aquaman later this year.

Marvel Studios

Marvel Studios has finally unveiled the first trailer for their upcoming superhero movie “Captain Marvel”.

The trailer first debuted on on Good Morning America on Tuesday, which introduces Brie Larson as the title character. “Captain Marvel” marks the first female led solo film from Disney’s Marvel franchise.

Also newly released by Marvel and Disney is the movie’s first poster. “Higher. Further. Faster,” the film’s tagline says on the poster.

“Captain Marvel” follows Larson’s Carol Danvers, a US Air Force Pilot who gains superhuman powers after a bizarre accident infused her with alien DNA.

This is the first look at the superhero in action since the character was first teased in the end-credits scene of Avengers: Infinity War.

In the comics, the character is the original Captain Marvel from an alien race of Kree who later adopted the identity of the recently deceased human scientist Walter Lawson. While posing as Lawson, he meets and become a mentor to Larson’s U.S. Air Force character Carol Danvers. Her DNA is melded with that of an alien after an explosion of a Kree device. It remains to be seen how much of the character origins from comics will carry over into the film.

Now And Forever…Superior Spider-Man

This December, Otto Octavius will leave the moniker of Doctor Octopus behind…and forever become THE SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN. The new ongoing series will be penned by Christos Gage (Spider-Geddon) with art by Mike Hawthorne (Deadpool), a collaboration that will also mark a renewal of Hawthorne’s Marvel exclusive.

“I’m more than thrilled to renew my exclusive with the folks at Marvel,” Hawthorne said. “I want to emphasize folks’ here, as I think we often talk about Marvel as this big entity that just makes things happen. Marvel, to me, is the people that work day in and day out to try to make the best comics they can. They’re the ones that keep me coming back. I’m ecstatic to dedicate the next few years of my creative energies to adding to the Marvel Universe!”

Under the spectacular storytelling of Gage and Hawthorne, Otto will prove (one way or the other) that he’s the most effective Super Hero in the world! And if you think you’ve already read the most intense Superior Spider-Man story? Think again. This is a tale like none other!

“I had the great pleasure of collaborating with Dan Slott on his incredible Superior Spider-Man run, and I can’t wait for people to see this new chapter in Otto’s journey toward… redemption? Corruption? Triumph? Tragedy? That remains to be seen,” Gage shared with Marvel.com. “What I can tell you is that the appropriately superior artistic team of Mike Hawthorne, Wade Von Grawbadger, and Jordie Bellaire — titans of their field, all — are absolutely killing it on the art.”

“After drawing Deadpool for as long I did, I was a little heartbroken to be moving on,” Hawthorne said. “BUT, getting to work on a Spider-Man book has blunted that pain significantly! (Sorry, Wade). I’m thrilled to get a shot to work on such a flagship character! I think working specifically on Superior Spider-Man is a unique opportunity that’ll allow me to explore my own approach to a Spider-Man book. It gives me a chance to illustrate how Otto’s approach and demeanor differs from Peter, and to build on a story that I find very compelling. Christos, [editor] Nick [Lowe] and [editor] Kathleen [Wisneski] have shown a willingness to trust me and let me do my thing, which allows me to do my best work. Honestly, I haven’t been this excited to work on a new book since the beginning of Deadpool!”
